Air Handling Units for commercial buildings
The freescoo air handling concept can be applied at larger scale, for instance in large AHUs for commercial application.
The implementation of freescoo AHU can drastically reduce the cost for air conditioning, especially if waste heat, or heat recovery (from refrigeration units) can be used.
For retrofitting purposes on existing systems, the freescoo AHU can be configured to provide just air pre-treatment, lowering the cooling load of the existing AUH. For example in this case, the system can be sized to manage just the latent heat related to the humidity control of fresh air, leaving the management of the sensible load to the cooling coil of the existing AHU.
The modularity in construction, the use of standardized panels, profiles and hardware, make possible a solid system configuration with different geometries and air flows.

Integration with heat recovery chiller
In large-sized system, the use of rejected heat from the condenser of heat recovery chillers, is a convenient and cost effective solution.
The use of heat recovery to activate the freescoo air handling process, shows the following main advantages:
- Lower cooling power to be delivered by the chiller, since no cooling power is needed for the cooling coil of the AHU;
- Around 70% increase of electrical efficiency of the whole system.
